THE HUNGARIAN NATIONAL ASSEMBLY SHALL ANNOUNCE THE INTERNATIONAL PHOTO CONTEST, TOGETHER WITH THE HUNGARIAN HOUSE OF PHOTOGRAPHY IN A PROFESSIONAL PARTNERSHIP.

SUBMITTED PHOTOS MUST BE IN ONE OF THE FOLLOWING CATEGORIES:
  • THE CO-EXISTENCE OF ETHNIC HUNGARIANS LIVING BEYOND THE BORDERS OF HUNGARY WITH OTHER MINORITIES AND THE MAJORITY POPULATION,
  • THE LIFE OF MINORITIES AND NATIONALITIES LIVING IN HUNGARY.

Between January 1 and June 30, 2011, Hungary will take over the rotating presidency of the Council of the European Union. The special priority of the Hungarian presidency will be the promotion of the inherited cultural diversity of Europe. The aim of the photo contest is to introduce the lives of communities in the Carpathian Basin and Moldova (Romania) in an exhibition worthy of the Hungarian presidency's term. The large-scale exhibition will be located in front of the Parliament at Kossuth Square, displaying 50-100 of the best entries.
